Mario Cake Goodness
So I had a birthday a couple days ago. Happy times! My wife, Liz Marek, made this sweet cake for me, so sweet that I couldn’t keep it to myself. I absolutely love video games, and Liz really went the extra mile on this Super Mario birthday cake. Here’s some photos of what she did for me. Back in Action
After joking around endlessly about the swine flu, I came down with a virus about three weeks ago. It eventually moved into my stomach which was not fun at all. I finally recovered from what turned out to be the worst flu I’ve had in a long time. Expect to start seeing some more updates on here in the coming week or so. It’s good to be back.

Wallpaper Wednesdays Moving to Wheneverdays
When I decided to relaunch my blog, I wasn’t thinking small. I envisioned a faithful redesign, a portfolio section, random personal links, a twitter feed, the works. Part of the grand scheme was new content and lots of it. Wallpaper Wednesdays was the first regular posting on Holy Robot, and I intend on staying true to that ideal. One thing I didn’t realize was the amount of time commitment these weekly wallpapers take. I’ve been averaging about 20 hours a wallpaper; add a 40-hour job onto that and wifey-time (video games don’t even get scheduled time anymore) and things start to get hairy. Read more
